A 3rd party owns crypto assets on your behalf. Your ownership is recorded and managed in the 3rd party’s centralized database (Example : Paypal, Revolut)
Custodial Wallets:
You own the crypto assets, but it is stored by a 3rd party in their storage. In order for you to withdraw your crypto assets, verification or permission from the 3rd party is needed. (Example : Coinbase, Bitmax)
Non-Custodial:
You own your own crypto assets and you have it stored in your own storage, you have full control of your money. (Example : Maiar)
